“Every child is born an artist. The problem is how to remain an artist once we grow up.”
-Pablo Picasso
Lottie Parker is a visual artist and printmaker working in drawing and painting on paper and traditional planographic and relief printmaking techniques. Since she could hold a pencil, she has processed life’s experiences and the world around her through drawing. Her work seeks to explore the human experience and our interconnectedness, with particular interest in narratives surrounding motherhood and family dynamics.
Lottie received her BFA in Printmaking from Pacific Lutheran University in Tacoma, WA, studying under Master Printer, Craig Cornwall, and her MFA in Arts Leadership from Seattle University in Seattle, WA. Beyond independent practice, she has shown work in regional galleries and has created commissioned artwork for wine labels, branding, and private collections. Lottie currently resides in Central Washington with her husband and three children.
